This is normally the highest point of navigation on the Thames, marked by its junction with the River Coln. As is obvious from the picture, it can be quite shallow here so larger boats can't usually get up this far. Inglesham is pointed directly at the (filled in) entrance to the Thames & Severn canal where the the first of many locks raises the canal to the spectacular Sapperton Tunnel (see here for tunnel trips).

Ticket sales are from our gazebo by the towpath. It's easy to spot as soon as you leave the car park area.
