Saros' base plate is, I believe, made of 12mm steel plate, with the sides constructed from 10mm plate, and the cabin/roof in 8mm steel. I think that this is somewhat heavier than many narrow boats, where 10/8/6mm is more typical (but I'm not an expert on narrowboat design so am not certain of my facts in this area).
