The central heating is run from gas bottles stored in compartments on
the front deck. The boiler is easy to light and quiet in operation.
If all the radiators are turned on, and the thermostat set to a high level,
it's capable of keeping the boat very warm, but at a price. It will get
through a lot of gas if used extravagantly.
The best option in really cold weather is to use the solid fuel stove
to keep the aft end of Saros really cosy, and the gas heating to maintain
a comfort level in the front of the boat.
