Saros was commissioned by Ownerships and built in 1997/8 by Pat Buckle at workshops on the R. Nene. She was launched early in 1998 at Stockton Top (formerly Blue Lias) Marina for the Ownerships show at Braunston Marina in February of that year.

In common with most Ownerships boats, Saros has had a moderate turnover of part owners, but all have cared for her and many have added little touches here and there, to personalise her and make her a bit special. In every way, she's even better now than when first launched, and she was a good boat then, with a very high specification.
